We expect more intense recovery of Bradesco's numbers in 2021, says Safra

For Safra analysts, Bradesco's leads to the fourth quarter were very positive and exceeded expectations. The figures show a robust recovery mainly in solid data of net interest income (NII) and reduction of provisions for credit loss within the period.

“For 2021, we should always see a good more intense recovery of Bradesco's numbers, since the bank must report a more normalized credit line cost, and therefore the economic recovery should support the bank's revenue lines (net interest income, insurance and tariffs) upwards. That said, Bradesco remains one among our main names within the banking sector, ”say analysts who maintain an above-average recommendation and a target price of R $ 35 per share.

The change reflects both improvements in internal risk calculation models and therefore the perception that the scenario has improved.

The high default expected at the start of the crisis has not yet come and will not accompany the expected intensity. "When the pandemic started, there wasn't much visibility, so we adopted more restricted credit models. We returned within the fourth quarter with an improved model," said Bradesco's president, Octavio de Lazari, during a call with journalists.
